Sometimes, just giving it a few days to a week, it will eventually settle down – this has worked in most cases. So, please consider that first.

I would first check Windows Update and make sure any pending cumulative updates are actually being installed succesfully. You can do this by launching each app. Do this for other applications you might have installed such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

In Edge: In Edge, launch this website. Locate and click the Test Flash Player button. Right-click on the image below the Test Flash Player button, and then select Settings. Uncheck Enable hardware acceleration, and then click on Close. In the System section, uncheck the box next to Use hardware acceleration when available, and restart Google Chrome Other things you can also check include: Look for blank icons on the desktop and delete them.
