In earlier versions you could change the lockscreen picture via GPO, it seems that option has been removed from pro with the latest update, it can still be done if you have Enterprise but not with Pro. Has anyone found a way to do this? Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. We are using the PRO version of windows 10, build This function has been removed in the latest anniversary version for PRO versions.

So back to my question: Has anyone found a way to do this on Windows 10 PRO, build anniversary update. If you are on a corporate network like me you wont just throw the latest release for obvious reasons on everyone without some serious testing. I would once again recommend you to come up with a solution for this or atleast an explanation to WHY this GPO wont trigger on pro-versions. There must be something more than the fact that you want every corporation to run Enterprise.

How can MS change features like this on the fly. Thank god for WSUS and we can shut down the distribution of We should not have to recreate the wheel every time a Anniversary update comes out.

At this point we are just going to have to skip and hope that MS fixes all the problems The lock-screen is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to manageability, presentation, user experience, and sustainment of windows 10 in the long run The scary thing is what happens when the changes break something like a ERP system, or other customizations that we make.

It is going to happen to us eventually The load on us IT people has greatly increased since the release of W W10 is a nightmare for these organizations and MS can break it at any point with an Anniversary Update. MS has actually got us thinking about just going to thin clients and MACs. In MS effort to become “Apple” in resent years they are really just making themselves more and more irrelevant as time goes on Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
